Kilkenny Book and Coin Fair will be held at the Clubhouse Hotel, Patrick Street, Kilkenny on Saturday 4th August 2018 from 10.30 am – 5.30 pm. Thousands of antiquarian, local history and general interest books, journals, maps, ephemera and rare coins.
Admission 2 euro.

The Genealogy Event, County Limerick
For the fifth year running, the Genealogy Event will be visiting County Limerick. Co-sponsored by RootsIreland.ie, and featuring Limerick Genealogy and representatives of the Irish Family History Foundation, it runs from Thursday 30th August to Saturday 1st September at Woodlands House Hotel, Adare, County Limerick. It offers a wealth of up to date information on researching your Irish ancestors using familiar genealogical resources, introductions to DNA and genealogy, as well as one on one genealogy consultations. The 4th edition of Brian Mitchell’s book, Derry A City Invincible, outlining the history of Derry, in 100 pages, from its geological formation right through to the present-day and ambitions for the future has just been published.
This book is available in Museum and Visitor Centre gift shops in Derry and provides visitors to Derry with local history context and an idea of what Derry was like when an ancestor lived here and/or departed here for a new life.
