Ulster Historical Foundation will be running two family history events in 2023, and one of
these programmes may be exactly what you are looking for!

For over 30 years Ulster Historical Foundation’s family history tours, conferences and research
programmes have been all about helping those with Irish and Scots-Irish ancestry trace their
roots and find deeper connections with the land of their ancestors.

Tracing your Irish Ancestors, 06-13 September 2023

During this seven-day conference, participants will be able to shape their own experiences
and make treasured memories by choosing to either research in the Public Record Office of
Northern Ireland (PRONI) alongside Ulster Historical Foundation’s experienced team of
researchers or take part in daily excursions through Ireland’s beautiful landscape, visiting
some of its most historic and world-renowned sites.

Assisted personal research, talks, tours and sightseeing are all part of the eclectic, friendly and fun
mix of Tracing Your Irish Ancestors.

Researching your Irish Ancestors, 08-13 October 2023

This enhanced research programme offers participants the chance to spend a week
researching in the archives each day being guided and supported by Ulster Historical
Foundation’s team of researchers. Researching your Irish Ancestors presents a great
opportunity to break down your genealogical “brick walls” and unlock your family history.

This programme will have a maximum capacity of 25 people meaning that you will
experience more one-on-one time with the Foundation’s research team than you would at
any other similar programme.
