11.00am Whispers of the past:
A selection of archive material from the collections of BBC NI and the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum. Presentation by Peter Carson from the sound archive at the UFTM and Niamh Macnamara from the BBC NI Community Archive. Items relating to Newry and the surrrounding area will be included.
12.30pm Emigration from Carlingford Lough:
Presentationby Dr. Patrick Fitzgerald - The Mellon Centre for Migration Studies, Ulster-American Folk Park, Omagh
2.00pm Family History Resources available in PRONI:
Presentation by Dr A.M. McVeigh External Events Manager, PRONI Norther Ireland Official Archive.
Exhibitors attending include representatives from Public Record Office of NI (PRONI), Somme Heritage Centre, ULTACH, PSNI Police Museum, Centre for Migration Studies, Omagh as well as family and local history organisations
